CV Template

by admin on May 31, 2010

It would be useless to define “template” as a term especially that more and more people are typing “CV Templates” in their favorite search engines. In generic terms, we can say that the Internet provides the best CV Templates, which of course is not the entire truth. CV templates were first jotted down in guidebooks and earlier they were safeguarded in the drawer.

CV templates offer a standardized version of the official CV. Who knows, what was the mother of all CVs, who knows whether it still exists? Fact is that CV Templates have kept a generic appearance and content. Regardless the times, applicants will always find two main types of templates: the European and the American CV Template. Both of the templates feature widely accepted styles, in line with the requirements of students, graduates, unemployed, etc.

Whatever the template, you should be respecting the following order:

  • Name
  • Nationality
  • Address, Telephone & Email
  • Professional objective
  • Educational history (in opposite chronological order)
  • Professional experience and Employment History (in opposite chronological order)
  • Professional qualifications (if any)
  • Special skills, hobbies (e.g. riding, reading etc.)
  • References

CV templates offer a proper structure, regardless your achievements.
